Lanta Sport Resort ★★★★

Very friendly people who stay / work there, rooms were very spacious and had everything you need, bed was very comfortable, motor bike rental was very easy and cheap.

Hotel is down a long very bumpy dirt track so difficult to get out from. Need to hire moped or taxi. Food is very good with lots of choice but staff in restaurant aren’t friendly and come across quite rude, a few times I sat down to eat and waited for a menu, turns out you have to go and pick one up yourself!!! Customer service needs some working on here. I had a superior room and it was very basic! Only 1 mirror in the whole room, bathroom door was a tin made door, only 1 dustbin in whole room to place rubbish and toilet waste in. First night I stayed we had a storm and it was raining so heavily there was the start of a leak coming through the ceiling roof and it kept heavily dripping, I tried to call the reception 2 times but no answer and only at 10.30/11pm, no 24 hour reception??! I reported it first thing in the morning and someone came to look at it but ended up filling in the previously leaks that were already there prior. I also woke up on my last morning to a power cut, which turns out when I mentioned to staff it was planned but they didn’t inform guests. Poor communication. Reception were good at making taxi plans when I asked for their help. Pool area is fantastic but sadly I didn’t get to use gym facilities as I hadn’t been well. I think the gym, muay thai academy and pool is what people stay here for.

Location. Customer service not great. Facilities in room poor. Poor communication. Staff not that friendly.

It was quiet, and the staff were nice

It was difficult to get to off the main road, as the road to it was a very bumpy trail, unlit at night, and very scary, it took us a long time to find because of the location, it needs proper access to it, the pool was nice but had no lights in it.

Pool was gorgeous and it was really quite an inexpensive stay. We also rented a bike from the property with great ease. Owner was really friendly and greeted us personally while we were by the pool too.

We stayed in a standard room which was very 'standard'. It only cost 500 baht per night, so I guess you get what you pay for. Staff also could have spoken a bit more English.

It was great 3 weeks. We ended up staying longer and longer because we really enjoyed there. The room was clean with all needed facilities and the bed so comfortable. The staff were great too! We stayed in the standard room. Wifi was great too! I loved the swimming pool! It was long enough to have a proper swim. Nice views especially from the roof top bar. Beautiful sunsets from there. We really enjoyed our stay. Definitely coming back to Koh Lanta and to this hotel. Loved it!

The only negative thing comes to my mind was the weird smell which came from the shower.

Air con.

No fridge. No t.v. No art on walls. They placed us next to training gym which began early enough to wake us (8.a.m.) Our experience was not of a 4 star hotel.

Nice clean modern bedroom with really comfy bed, free water everyday, nice pool, small gym to use, cheap moped rental, 10 min walk from the beach, nice staff, good WiFi,

Coffee didn’t get refilled after drinking it on day one, bathroom in the room was a bit grim and smelled, the hotel was situated down a dark dirt track so a little bit dodgy walking back some nights after our meal,

The atmosphere of the resort was nice and quiet once the Mui Thai finished. It is mainly familes staying at the resort so it feels safe and no hassle from other guests. The motor bike rental was also straight forward and no complications.

There was a large gap under the door of the apartment and window locks did not seem too secure or missing. We found a very large spider and scorpion in the room which I think came in under the door, or from a large dark space under the sink. The resort is in a heavily vegetated area so this might be acceptable but I think more could have been done to seal the rooms properly to prevent this.

The thai manager was fantastic,swedish not, room like a hodtal o worth. I think, when they got 4 stasrs, this 5-6 room nobody see it. It is a gym old changing room, but they rent like a cheap room! Do not take. Door can not closed and 1cm smaller then the door hole. No warm water, no mirror, no aircon, no nothing only smell, you even can not clean so old forniture, misding the paint on it. I do not undastand how have 4 star, if you pay for a expensive room thats oke, but only wort 3 staars max, really agressive monkey at entrance. Not take the cheap room, really bad experience

Pool crowded but oke

The staff were very friendly and always happy to help. The pool area is lovely (despite the uncomfortable sunbeds) The food at the restaurant couldn't be faulted, however it was very slow to come out and was pricer than going out for dinner in town.

We paid for an apartment thinking this would be better than a standard room, however this was not the case. The photos on booking.com were misleading as we were expecting to have a kitchen in our apartment. We were lucky to be upgraded to a room in the hotel. Had we had to stay in the initial room we would have been very disappointed.

The room was big. You can rent a scooter at the lobby, practice thai boxing or swim a bit

Our room didn’t have hot water, only one choice haha kind of weird Our “door” was really bad and the room located in the cloackroom of the hotels gym, really not what we expected
